 Miss Jennifer McNeil Director and Prinicpal Instructor

Jennifer is an accomplished Teacher, Choreographer and Dancer who has taken the dance world by storm. Her love of dance started 17 yrs ago when she took her first dance lesson at Annemarie*s Dance Academy. Thus began her life long love affair with dance. During her years of training, Jennifer has had the opportunity to compete at a regional and national level across Canada and the United States. She has won countless scholarships, special awards and overalls including the opportunity to dance on the Showstopper nationally televised dance finals in Myrtle Beach. She has also had the privilege of dancing for and meeting Karin Kain who presented Jennifer with a special performance award. With an overwhelming love of the art and many years experience, she felt ready to step into the professional world. Jennifer brings with her many years of experience in dance, specializing in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Street Dance, Stretch/ Technique and Open. She has been teaching for over 7 yrs across Ontario and 3 yrs in Barrie. Jennifer is an active member of Dance Masters of America and Maple Leaf Dance Masters of America Ch. #43 certified in Acrobatics and Ballet. The British Association of Teachers in Dance certified in Jazz and Tap. The Performing Arts Educators of Canada in Acrobatics. The Royal Academy of Dance, presented with her Advanced 1 certificate and her Teaching Diploma in Ballet. Jennifer was fortunate enough to travel to New York City, Las Vegas, Toronto, Myrtle Beach, Niagara Falls, and Florida to learn from prestigious choreographers including Savion Glover, Kimberly Glasco, Ryan Foley, Mandy Moore, Mia Michaels, Shane Sparks, Keith *Tyce* Dorio, Nick Lazzarini (winner of So You Think You Can Dance), Brian Freedman, Travis Wall and many many more. Jennifer also had the privilege to study and train at the National Ballet School in Toronto for 3 yrs, learning from the best teachers in their fields. Jennifer has been honoured for her talents with choreography awards, most recently the Dance Dance Canada 'Creative Concept' choreography award. Her students have been recognized at the regional, national and professional levels. Past and present students have succeeded in numerous ballet exams and have been accepted to the Quinte Ballet School and the National Ballet School. Students have succeeded in winning numerous overalls and titles including Mini Miss Dance 2004 and Junior Miss Dance 2006- Maple Leaf Dance Master*s of America Ch. #43. Jennifer has also had the pleasure of working with and training the Mariposa Skating Team for the past 3 years. As a teacher and choreographer, Jennifer strives to instill a passion and love for dance in all students, teaching them poise, grace, technique, self-awareness and most importantly the ability to believe in themselves.
